are given for a proper installation. some installation is after a sensor and some installation is before the sensor. The best things about this devices is you can also install it into your exhaust pipe, before the catalytic or after, this will help to extract the exhaust gas in a fast and smooth ways. Fyi, some aftermarkets sports bolt on's exhaust used this kind of technology into their exhaust pipes for a same reason which is to throw out all gases in a very dynamic ways.
